About JAK-STAT

In January of 2012 we plan to launch JAK-STAT, the first international peer-reviewed journal of its kind to focus exclusively on the JAK-STAT signalling pathway.

We believe this is an excellent time to start this journal for several reasons:

  • • Recent advances in JAK-STAT signalling have enhanced our understanding in signal transduction pathways.
  • • JAK-STAT signalling are key events in controlling processes such as development, cell growth and homeostasis.
  • • JAK-STAT pathways are altered in variety of diseases.
  • JAK-STAT will be a multi-disciplinary journal which will publish articles with translational relevance to therapy.

Scope

JAK-STAT will publish full-length, original papers and review articles describing key, novel findings on all aspects of mechanisms of actions in cellular signaling / transduction of the JAK-STAT pathways. A better understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of JAK-STAT signaling pathways and its disregulation in diseases may lead to novel therapeutic approaches.
